THE ROLE
Meteorite is seeking an experienced Audience Growth Director. You will lead the building and execution of growth strategies across Meteorite’s channels, primarily Health Action Alliance.
The Audience Growth Director is equally passionate about data and the power of storytelling to build audiences. In this role, you will be tasked with attracting new audiences and strengthening relationships with our current audience, and positioning Meteorite as a thought leader applying the power of business for social impact.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to determine and meet growth-driven KPIs for Health Action Alliance channel growth, including virtual and live events, email, and social media to start.
- Develop a clear understanding of the target audiences for Health Action Alliance.
- Develop and execute data-driven audience growth strategies for targeted Health Action Alliance campaigns. Including but not limited to:
- Lead the marketing swaps program with other newsletters and websites.
- Manage and measure lifecycle marketing campaigns to increase consumption and engagement.
- Execute paid marketing experiments and campaigns.
- Identify and pilot new audience growth strategies.
- Identify and pilot strategies to strengthen our relationships with our existing audience.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, events director, and our editorial director to align audience development efforts and ensure cohesive strategies.
- Forge strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations for reach into our target audiences.
- Build prospecting lists from our internal databases and execute creative outreach strategies.
- Measure and report on event audience metrics for reporting and optimization.
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive social media engagement strategy, aimed at maximizing audience engagement and reach across platforms while ensuring the delivery of high-quality content and efficient resource allocation. some text
- Evaluate and determine the need for additional freelance or staff support to maintain and grow our social media presence effectively.
YOUR MINDSET AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience in audience development, marketing and/or research
- Experience developing audiences for a media or live events organization
- High comfort level with data and measurement of marketing activities
- Familiarity with databases useful for mining to build prospecting lists
- Analytical and strategic thinker
- Experience running tests to optimize marketing and user experience initiatives
- Familiarity with email reporting and analysis
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Interest in making an impact at the intersection of business and social issues
TRAVEL: Frequent travel is expected for in-person events and team meetings.

WE OFFER
- The salary range for this position is $140,000-165,000, commensurate with experience level and geographic location.
- Bonus eligible starting in 2024
