Mara Abrams is a Senior Advisor at Meteorite, where she helps shape campaigns and coalitions at the intersection of culture, business, and democracy. A strategist, storyteller, and network-builder, Mara brings two decades of experience driving innovation at foundations and influential institutions.
As founder of Numara Impact, Mara has advised leading organizations including the Aspen Institute and Nature Conservancy on unlocking civic imagination and collective action. She previously led global innovation initiatives at the Nike Foundation, using design, technology, and entrepreneurship to create pathways out of poverty for adolescent girls worldwide.
Mara also served as senior advisor to the U.S. Census Bureau, where she founded the agency's first innovation lab and helped drive one of the largest civic mobilization efforts in American history to ensure a fair and accurate 2020 count. Earlier in her career, she co-founded an organization training young people in conflict zones to tell their stories through filmmaking and journalism, launched an entrepreneurship program in Cuba, and led responsible technology partnerships for the philanthropic organization Unfinished.
